OUR STORY
The Beginning
Detail Plus opened its doors in December 1998 at 750 Paul Bunyan Drive, founded and operated by David Chandler and his business partner.
Expanding Into Auto Glass
As Detail Plus grew, Chandler Auto Glass was launched in 2003, operating alongside Detail Plus at the same location. This expansion allowed the team to serve Bemidji with both detailing and professional auto glass services under one roof.
A Family Legacy Continues
In 2005, Jon Chandler, David’s son, officially joined as a business partner in Detail Plus.
A New Home
Both businesses moved across the road to 211 Paul Bunyan Drive, the location that still serves customers today. The move allowed for more space, better workflow, and room for future growth.
One Name, One Team
Around 2012, Jon Chandler officially became a partner in Chandler Auto Glass and the two companies, Detail Plus and Chandler Auto Glass combined into a single brand: Chandler’s Detail Plus & Auto Glass
A New Chapter
The Recal Guys is Born
At the end of 2019, The Recal Guys officially launched — a specialized ADAS recalibration service owned and operated by Chandler’s Detail Plus & Auto Glass. This addition positioned the company at the forefront of modern vehicle safety technology in northern Minnesota.
Continuing Forward
Now over 25 years later, Chandler’s remains a locally trusted, family‑built business, proudly serving Bemidji with auto essentials, dependable service, and craftsmanship that’s warrantied and built to last.
